About - Dr. JP Durdurez
Having graduated from ULB in 1991, I continued my specialization in the special degree in ENT, which I completed in 1996, after having spent part of it at UZ GENT and the Montpellier University Hospital.
Having remained a consultant at the CHU Saint-Pierre since 1996, I was accredited at CHIREC that year, as well as at the Hôpital Français, where I was Head of Department from 2001 to 2004 and Associate Head of Department from 2004 to 2007 of the entity merged with the Hôpital César de Paepe, before the complete takeover by the CHU Saint-Pierre.
I currently see patients at two locations, in Brussels and Ixelles, in French, English, Dutch, and Italian. I perform both adult and pediatric surgery.
Surgery
I deal with both classic pediatric surgery - tonsil surgery, adenoid surgery and repeated ear infections via the insertion of transtympanic aerators (drains) or surgery for protruding ears - and basic adult surgery - tonsillectomy, septoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, snoring and apnea surgery, surgery for protruding ears - and more specifically in rhinology (rhinoplasty) or laryngology (microsurgery of the vocal cords).
Through my work at the Saint-Pierre University Hospital, I have access to the most efficient technical resources, which are constantly updated (radiofrequency, coblation, different types of laser: CO2 laser, blue laser, etc.), as well as to the latest therapeutic protocols.
